Oh, I think we're all sorry at this point...

By now, you have all seen this footage of Air Force One scaring normally jaded and self-absorbed New Yorkers :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ornoJFA41A

On Tuesday, Obama told reporters, "It was a mistake. It was something we found out about along with all of you. And it will not happen again."

So how many times is this guy going to apologize?!? And when is he going to actually mean it?

His apology was laced with his trademark disdain and pseudo-intellectual stance that must have served him well at Harvard Law Review as he knocked the hell out of the short side of the A/B curve...

So, again the little things can sum up all we need to know on "Leadership Skills". Get ready for "the Blame Game" as he targets a victim for his narcissism-driven gaffe with the new toys...

Good Luck to you all...

Best,

Mike

OT:

Mikey,

I just re-read "The Sovereign Individual" (Davidson & Rees-Mogg). First published in '97, most/all of the short-term developments described by the authors have indeed come to pass in the past 10-12 years. And the book's long-term thesis seems as likely/accurate as ever. It is a skim-able text from which the reader can both find historical context and envision their own future path in a world that is disintegrating... i.e. i feel more optimistic and motivated having re-read this book.

It's libertarianism minus the national/american political baggage. The authors write from a post-political position, as they expect/dismiss politics (especially national politics) and mass democracy as a failed experiment that will not dominate or even survive the 21st century. Their logic and understanding are compelling.

Most of my library would depress Mickey Mouse on Prozac, but this one has helped to lift the low, dark clouds from my horizon.

Mikey,

Post something fresh buddy!

Aren't you amazed at how obedient/stupid the Dems/leftys have been these past 4-6 months? Their man Obama is a better friend to the corporate fascist Wall St. crowd than any Republican even was. All those anti-war voters... how they liking Obama now? We have more troops in harms way now than when BO took office just 9 months ago. Not much hope/change there.

And those anti-torture voters? CIA ops are as opaque as even, with nary a peep or investigation in sight. No hope/change there, either.

And those Main St. voters? Main St. america is a shell... empty storefronts. BO has obviously taken the sides with his Wall St. campaign gravytrain. Hope/change on Main St. is nonexistent.

And those healthcare/better government voters? this administration has actually eliminated what little transparency remained after Bush. Hope/change in this area has been trampled.

If I were a Dem/liberal, I would be FUMING. BO has not only insulted his base, he has betrayed them across the board in less than 9 months in office. Yet the left still fawns over their man... the honeymoon continues. Amazing. What does such blind loyalty to a traitor say about the Dems and the liberal left? It says they are just as stupid as the blindly loyal neo-con Right. Morons all.

Not that either party means anything... we so obviously live in a ONE PARTY SYSTEM - the corporate fascist party.

Media? it's corporate-owned.

Politics & government? also corporate-owned.

Our pensions and retirement? corporate-owned.

The faux red/blue divide in the US is Orwellian proletariat control propaganda in it's most refined application. While america falsely polarizes itself (Fox v. MSNBC), the past, present and future of America is being looted by Wall St. and assorted other corporate interests both foreign and domestic.

What a joke this country has become.
